Due to our increasing success and growth, we’re growing our team of enthusiastic experts. We are recruiting for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. Reporting to Head of Software, the successful candidate will:
The successful candidate will work on the development and maintenance of build pipelines for our many software products including CI pipes and release builds.
Take ownership over key pipelines and DevOps activities which enable the company and our teams to function and deliver world class software.
The candidate should have a passion for solving problems and engineering solutions. They should also have a keen eye for detail.
Work closely with the development teams and product owners to ensure DevOps are delivering solutions to the operational challenges that face the engineering department from a process and delivery perspective.
Provide support to our Engineering, System and Support, Production, and Product Management teams to ensure the needs of the business are met.
Proposing improvements based on your own experience and customer feedback is a natural part of this role also and is something we encourage as a business.
Mandatory Technical Skills and Experience | The ‘Must-Have’s
Candidates must have more than 3 years’ experience of working in DevOps and must have some experience in all the following technologies/areas:
Passion for scripting and automation
Strong Python scripting skills
Experience of CI/CD via Jenkins pipelines
Knowledge of CMake and how to configure and edit build scripts
Good knowledge of Windows, Linux and MacOS
An understanding of the development tool chain
Good knowledge and practical use of Git
Driving licence
Additional Useful Skills | The ‘Helpful to Haves’
Experience of web API integration
Knowledge of testing frameworks like Pytest
Network administration and configuration
Artefact management
Experience of using Jira
Configuring and managing Docker containers
Knowledge of installer scripting e.g. NSIS
