Support People Manager

About the Role | Who are we looking for?

Due to our increasing success and growth, we are growing our team of enthusiastic experts by recruiting an experienced Systems and Support Manager to join our team.

The Systems and Support Manger will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Systems and Support Team, coordinating team schedules, organizing various remote and on-site support requests, and ensuring that operations always run smoothly.

Reporting to Director of Systems and Support, the successful candidate will:

  • Work with senior management team to develop, deliver, and measure a world-class support offering for our customers.
  • Manage the Systems and Support team including overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team; conducting bi-annual appraisals; and managing rotas, time-off requests, and absences.
  • Empower and inspire the team to deliver world class support through the toughest challenges without giving up. Our customers know and appreciate the dedication we have to the success of their projects.
  • Collaborate internally with Product and Training Managers representing the customer experience to influence product documentation and training material direction.

Candidates must have demonstrable experience in or possess the following requirements:

  • Experience conducting staff performance reviews, goal setting, leading team meetings, managing absences, and coaching direct reports
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Great customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven history of resourcefulness, dedication, and decision-making under pressure of high-profile projects
  • Reliable, patient, and professional
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid passport
  • Driving licence
Additional Useful Technical Skills | The ‘Helpful-to-Haves’
  • Previous experience of managing teams across multiple time-zones
  • Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MacOS, third-party applications, hardware, drivers, registry tweaking, and network configuration
  • Functional understanding of audio-visual and control systems flow, media production workflows, and digital media formats
  • Experience with 7thSense products (Delta Media Server, Medialon, Compere, Juggler)
