Due to our increasing success and growth, we are growing our team of enthusiastic experts. We are recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team.
A Technical Sales Engineer at 7thSense communicates with customers about their system requirements and translates the information into bespoke product configurations that meet the project’s needs and limitations. Hands-on system testing may be required to figure out how to achieve a desired outcome; the successful candidate will be able to carry out a degree of system configuration and testing themselves and should be able to communicate the requirements to the Testing and Product Development teams for further input where required.
Once the configurations are known, the Technical Sales Engineer prepares a sales quote by building a Bill of Materials, covering the components needed for each of the products required by the system design.
The Technical Sales Engineer also reviews system quotes prepared by other members of the sales team to check them for technical accuracy and that they will be able to do what is required, without over-specifying.

Mandatory Technical Skills and Experience | The ‘Must-Haves’
Candidates must have demonstrable experience of working in all the following areas:
Solid grasp of Microsoft Windows and PC hardware
Solid understanding of audio-visual and control systems flow, media production workflows, and digital media formats
Knowledge of projection mapping, warping, and blending with media servers
Basic familiarity with 3D creative software like Blender, Cinema4D, or Maya
Basic level of IP networking concepts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English, other languages helpful but not required)
Detail-oriented and able to multitask
A penchant for technical problem-solving
A self-motivated discipline to follow up
Willingness and ability to travel with little notice (travel expectation < 10% of the time)
Additional Useful Skills | The ‘Helpful to Haves’
Sales experience is not required, but helps since this is a pre-sales engineering role and customer interaction will be required to determine the technical needs of projects
Experience with 7thSense products (Delta Media Server, Medialon, Compere, Juggler)
Experience with high bandwidth (10/25/40/100GbE) network-based storage technologies and products
Experience commissioning audiovisual systems
