The 2016 Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA featured a pioneering stage performance by Lucent Dossier Experience with stunning immersive technologies from 3D Live and Delta Media Server from 7thSense.

The innovative performance collective closed out the Coachella Sahara Stage with a cirque style show that blended avant-garde theatrics, high fashion stylings and electronic rock into a mind-bending sensory extravaganza.

3D Live was behind the on-stage technology installation that allowed performers to augment reality in ways the audience never thought possible, seemingly defying the laws of physics.

Delta Media Server was used to playback a 1920 x 1080 3D uncompressed signal mapped on two LED controllers that combined to create one seamless image.

Anyone who walked into the Sahara Tent at Coachella shortly after midnight on Friday saw something that no one had ever seen before. The Lucent Dossier Experience – an L.A.-based collective that combines vocal performances with avant-garde performers and aerial artists – gave a ground-breaking performance using real-time 3D Live graphics for the first time.

The capture input on Delta was used to send through signals from a second machine running Touch Designer for real-time interactive visuals.

Audio playback was also run from the server and the band played along with the backbeat and rhythm instrumentals from the server.
