ONE WORLD
OBSERVATORY

Positioned atop the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Observatory caps the new One World Trade Center building with a unique viewing experience for visitors and local residents alike.

The visitor experience begins with the Global Welcome Center below ground. An edge-blended, multi-projector display covers an entire curved wall at the far end of the entrance lobby. 7thSense Media Servers feed two formats of projectors – six Panasonic PT-FW430 short-throw projectors and four Panasonic PT-DZ870 projectors with DLE030 folded mirror lenses.

Upon their arrival at the observatory, visitors watch a two-minute video by Realisations in the See Forever Theater.

Aerial and time-lapse footage combine with abstract textures and patterns to present the rhythms and pulse of life in New York City.

Twenty-eight Christie DWU600-G projectors and seven 7thSense Media Servers 3D map the video to the relief; the video image is programmed to follow the panels as they rise up at the conclusion to reveal the northern skyline of Manhattan.

Electrosonic was hired by producers The Hettema Group to furnish projection, video displays, program audio, background audio/paging, and show control for One World Observatory.

One World Observatory opened May 29, 2015 and has since been recognised with multiple industry awards.
