7thSense Collaborates with PHABRIX to Develop Next Generation Output Format Capability for Themed Entertainment and Attractions Installations

7thSense, a global leader in advanced media serving, pixel management and show control technologies for theme parks and attractions, is working in partnership with PHABRIX to develop the capability of next generation output formats of network IP using SMPTE ST 2110, including UHD/4K 12-bit 4:4:4 60p.

Richard Brown, CTO, 7thSense commented, “This is really the future of connectivity, and we are now able to output formats that have not been used in the themed entertainment and visitor attractions world up until now – working closely with PHABRIX to do so.

We are now delivering SMPTE 2110 support from our Delta Media Server and Juggler® pixel processing products, and we need to ensure all our solutions are compliant to specifications. Having worked with the PHABRIX team and their Qx products previously, we recognised their superb customer service and understanding of SMPTE 2110, as well as their willingness to work with us to support new industry-leading standards such as 12-bit 4:4:4 60p.”

Leading test and measurement instrument manufacturer, PHABRIX, provides world-class solutions for SMPTE compliance verification. 7thSense is using the PHABRIX QxL 25G IP ST 2110 rasterizer for SDI and advanced IP 2110 product verification in-house, and at on-site installations to quickly verify compliance to an evolving list of SMPTE standards to support customers’ workflows.
